Persian Honey
Although this is a bit bitter, but because in the Iranian market there is no exact grading for any brand and producer from the government or any other institution, it is not possible to determine which brand or honey is of better quality or honey of which region is of much better quality. It is practically impossible.
For this reason, everyone in any region of the country considers their honey to be the best honey available. Someone who is in Tabriz says that Tabriz honey is the best honey in Iran. Someone in Kurdistan says that Kurdistan honey is the best honey because of its plant diversity. Someone in Khansar says that Khansar honey is the best honey in Iran, and so are those in Mashhad, Isfahan, Fars and other parts of Iran. Although these cities also provide other foods and spices...
These professions are true in a way and not in a way, which requires understanding the answers to the following questions.
Can the best honey be identified by region?
Iran is one of the top 4 countries in the world in terms of honey production, one of the reasons for which is its very high climatic diversity. In addition to the honeys that are available in the market with the names of several plants, studies show that there are more than 50 types of single flower honeys in Iran. Acacia honey, Kenar honey, Thistle honey, Lemon honey, Thyme honey, Cotton honey, Eucalyptus honey, Turmeric honey, Astragalus honey, Dill honey, Citrus honey, Coriander honey are just some of the types of honey that each of them may be used for. Is a region of Iran.
This is why the quality of honey can not be considered based on the region, which means that it can not be said that Khansar honey is the best honey or Kurdistan honey is the highest quality honey. Because each region has its own vegetation and therefore it can not be said that honey is necessarily a better quality area.
In other words, just because this honey is for Kurdistan, Mashhad, Fars, Hamedan or Khansar, we can not say that this honey is good. This is because the bee may be in these areas but has eaten sugar instead of nectar, and incidentally many of the large beekeepers in these areas prefer nutritious honey (honey in which the bee has fed sugar). To produce because it is more economical and economical for them.
But it can not be denied that some honeys in some regions have a much higher quality or are produced exclusively in a particular region. The following are some of them.
Honey aside
Kenar or cedar honey is one of the special honeys of Iran that is very popular. Cedar plant grows in the southern regions of the country and for this reason honey is obtained from the southern parts of the country such as parts of Fars, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Ilam and Hormozgan. But some believe that the best honey is found in Fars province and in cities such as Kazerun, Farashband and Meymand.
Barberry honey
Barberry honey is another famous honey of Iran. More than 95% of the world's barberry is produced in Iran and South Khorasan, so one of the best barberry honey is produced in South Khorasan province, especially in the cities of Zirkuh and Ghaenat.
Thyme honey
Thyme honey is one of the most medicinal honeys in Iran that has special properties. Thyme is found in most mountainous areas of Iran, so thyme honey is obtained in different parts of Iran, but the best thyme honey is related to the central regions of Iran, namely Taleghan, Qazvin and Firoozkooh. In these areas, the purity of thyme honey is much higher.
Coriander honey
Coriander honey is also one of the best honeys in Iran, which is usually found in the western regions of the country such as Hamedan, Kermanshah and Ilam. One of the highest quality coriander honeys belongs to Nahavand Hamedan.
