Balance is Key

When you are decorating a room, it is important to think about balance. The best way to do that is to make sure your wall art looks cohesive with what is already on the walls. For example, if there are already many paintings on the wall, putting up a painting may look too busy and take away from the rest of the room. You will need to find something else that will complement it instead—maybe put up three or four smaller pieces or some decorative mirrors instead!

Experiment with Placement

Once you have decided on a wall decor style, there are several ways to experiment with placement. Try placing your art in different heights and angles against the wall. To achieve this effect, consider using an easel or an adhesive mounting kit to hang your piece higher on the wall than usual. You can also experiment with color and shape by trying different arrangements of frames, paintings and prints in your living room space. If you have multiple pieces of artwork that coordinate well together but do not necessarily match one another perfectly, try clustering them together as shown here to create a cohesive focal point for the room!
